These necklaces feature lampwork glass beads. These beads are made by holding a soft ball of glass over a flame as the artist shapes and decorates it. The completed bead is placed in a kiln at a specific temperature and and time to harden the glass. Some of these beads are imported, and some are handmade by American artists. Lampwork beads are little expressions of glass art, and are found in countless shapes and colors.
